Dinner Ideas With Quick and Tasty Angel Hair Spaghetti With Sauce

Spaghetti

1 pack thin wheat angel hair spaghetti
1 small box, can or bottle of parmesan cheese (fresh grated is best)

Meat Sauce

1 pound ground turkey
1 onion
4 garlic sprigs
1 packet spaghetti seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt or to your taste
1/2 teaspoon pepper or to your taste
1 can tomato sauce
1 fresh tomato

 Bread

French bread –or whole grain-multigrain for a healthier choice
Garlic Spread

Boil the spaghetti for about 20 minutes with a dash of salt, while the spaghetti is boiling place your ground turkey in the skillet with about a 1/2 cup to a cup of water. It will boil until done, turn it chop it a few times in order for it to cook thoroughly. Chop the onion, garlic, and tomato while your spaghetti and ground turkey are cooking.

Now add the chopped onion, garlic, tomato, spaghetti seasoning pack, salt, pepper, tomato sauce to the meat add another cup or two of water. All should simmer about 5-10 minutes.

Drain the water off the cooked spaghetti; place the meat sauce on the spaghetti mix together. Place a portion of spaghetti on your plate, top it off with parmesan cheese, and add some bread with garlic spread if you like—enjoy. Add your favorite quick lettuce and tomato salad. 

This should take about 30 minutes-45 minutes.

Dinner Ideas Using Chicken Teriyaki With Mushrooms

This is a tasty chicken  teriyaki recipe, it is especially appealing if you like the oriental taste of food, of course, who doesn’t. This recipe takes about an hour to prepare. The expense is moderate.

Teriyaki and Mushroom Recipe

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1 teaspoon flour
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
2 teaspoons olive oil
12 ounces fresh white mushrooms, sliced
1 1/2 cups shiitake mushrooms, sliced
l large red bell pepper, cored, seeded and thinly sliced
4 scallions, trimmed and chopped
4 garlic sprigs peeled and finely chopped
16 ounces chicken peeled from bone
6 Chinese cabbage or bok choy leaves cabbage

Combine the teriyaki sauce, flour, ginger and 1/2 cup water. Set aside.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add all mushrooms and cook, stirring, until mushrooms release liquid, about 5 minutes. Add bell pepper, scallion and garlic. Cook until mushroom liquid evaporates and garlic becomes fragrant, about 3 minutes. Add chicken.

Stir teriyaki mixture and add to skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce is slightly thickened, about 3 minutes.

Arrange cabbage leaves on 4 plates-roll meat mixture into cabbage rolls. Top with mushroom-chicken mixture.

Serves about 4 people

Quick and Tasty Turkey Burger

Good, cheap and easy dinner recipes don’t have to take a lot of time to prepare. This turkey burger recipe should only take a half hour to 45 minutes.

Quick and Tasty Turkey Burger

1 lb Ground turkey
1/2 Onion
2 Cloves Garlic
1/2 Stalk Green Pepper
Dash of Salt to Taste
Dash of Pepper to Taste
1 Egg
1/2 Slice Bread (can be stale bread)
2 TSP lite soy sauce

Finely chop onion, garlic cloves, green pepper and mix all together.

Mix turkey burger, slightly beaten egg, and finely broken bread crumbs all together.

Mix the onion, garlic, green pepper with the turkey burger preparation and add salt and pepper to taste.

Form in about 4-6, 3 inch round burgers, place in 1/2 inch of water, cook on both sides, when one side browns add a little lite soy sauce, turn on the opposite side and add lite soy sauce, this is for browning and taste.

Use your favorite bun or bread with lettuce, tomatoes, and condiments, enjoy! If you use low calorie buns or bread, this is a low calorie meal.

Spicy Black Bean and Ground Turkey Stew

This recipe is a good, cheap spicy stew that will warm you when it’s cold, and cool you when it’s hot! Try it now.

2   Tablespoons olive oil
1   Cup chopped onion
1/2 Cup chopped green bell pepper
12 Ounces low-fat ground turkey
4   Cloves garlic, minced
1   Cup drained canned black beans, rinsed
1 1/2 Cups unstrained no-salt-added stewed tomatoes
3   Teaspoons dried oregano leaves
1 1/2 Teaspoon ground cumin
4   Tablespoons minced fresh parsley
Hot pepper sauce, to taste
1-2 Cups Hot cooked brown rice (if desired)

Cook ground turkey over medium heat and one half inch of water with a tincture of salt and pepper. Leave ground turkey in large chunks after cooking. Heat oil over medium heat. Add bell pepper, onion and cooked ground turkey. Stir and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, cook and stir for about a minute.

Stir in the beans, tomato (broken into small pieces) with juice, add the oregano and cumin. Bring to a boil; reduce to low heat and simmer.

Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, stir occasionally. Stir in the parsley and hot pepper sauce. Serve with hot cooked brown rice if desired. Place 4 tablespoons of rice on top of each bowl of stew.

Makes about four servings

Spicy Chicken Stir-Fry Recipe

Use fresh vegetables, chicken, and a blend of spices for this good, tasty stir-fry recipe.

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/8 teaspoon dry chili pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon fine sugar
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1 bunch scallions
4 celery stalks
2 red bell peppers, seeded
6 ounces zucchini
6 ounces snow peas or sugar snap peas
Sunflower oil, for frying
1 tablespoon lime juice

Combine all of the spices in a bowl. Add the chicken cut up into 2 inch strips. Coat the chicken with the spices. Cut up all of the vegetables into 2 inch strips except the snow peas or snap peas. Cut the zucchini in thin round pieces. Trim the snow or snap peas. Heat the chicken in the oil until it browns. Remove it from the pan. Add the vegetables (except snow or snap peas) with a little more oil; cook for about 8 minutes over medium heat. Add the snow or snap peas for another 2 minutes.  Return the chicken to the pan, add the lime juice and cook for another 2 minutes.

Serve immediately.
